Description
Usakos Tourmaline Mine, Usakos, Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia
A doubly terminated quartz crystal is partially grown over a watermelon colored tourmaline. The tourmaline has a pink core at the base and a thin pink cap at the termination, with a very gemmy emerald green body. Most tourmalines are from a small once find in late 2001 at the Usakos Tourmaline Mine. Very few specimens come from the mine as most don’t survive the blasting process.
