Description
Alabashka Pegmatite Field, Yuzhakovo Village, Sverdlovskaya Oblast’, Middle Urals, Urals Region, Russia
A euhedral gem blue topaz of facet grade has a water clear gem quality and minor matrix. It has a perfect, blocky termination with obvious growth hillocks on its surface. It is naturally blue from natural irradiation that happened slowly over the course of its formation and life underground whereas most of the blue topaz on the gem market is white topaz that has been irradiated intentionally. This piece has no residual radiation and is a great piece from Russia.
