An impressive miniature piece of the rare zeolite thomsonite features two spherical formations over smaller crystals on a black basalt matrix. While most thomsonites are matte to maybe silky luster, this piece shows a wet and shiny look. The smaller crystals lining the matrix show the bladed habit of thomsonite and distinguishes it from natrolite or okenite which forms rounded groupings with radiating needles. You really need to be a true lover of minerals to be excited about this piece, but for that person this is a super deal.
