Description
Teigarhorn Farm (Sea Cliffs), Berufjordur, Suour-Mulasysla, Eastern Region, Iceland
Long before India became a major producer of stilbites, the most collectible zeolites were from this area in Iceland. Highly sought then and now even rarer, this piece features white doubly terminated pristine stilbite crystal over 6.5 cm long. Its face has smaller crystals emanating from the main crystal. The terminations show a detailed pointed tip and the crystal splitting during growth is evident.
