A unique formation of prehnite has a thin brown coating over some of the faces of the crystal structure. The prehnite is highly lustrous and strikingly white when it shows through the coating. The specimen only has minor edge wear. Jeffrey Mine produced prehnite in a number of forms and pastel colors and this piece is another example of its varietals.
