Description
Nasik District, Maharashtra, India
A large floater crystal of doubly terminated and complete pink stilbite is impressive in its size and perfection. Also remarkable is that the entire piece is translucent. The crystal splitting which produces the great forms of stilbite is evident here and there are even splitting “mistakes” which result in small crystals growing out of the front of the piece, off of the plane of the dominant form. The back of the piece is without sidecar crystals and really shows the textures of the crystallization. The front has small pieces of associated chalcedony.
