Pezzottaite is a rare cesium rich and lithium containing member of the beryl group. It was found in its type locality in Madagascar and determined to be its own species in 2003. A rare entity itself, these pieces are highly sought after for their rich pink to rosy red colors and for their fine crystal forms. A complete and symmetrical crystal, this piece shows a short prism with a complete hexagonal face outlined with attractive beveling on all sides. A complete crystal like this is ideal for someone seeking perfection in structure. This piece has a translucent to gemmy clarity and shows a great saturation in color.
