Description
Nasik District, Maharashtra Province, India
A really beautiful specimen of stilbite shows a fully formed gemmy stilbite prominently placed on white chalcedony groupings. The stilbite is not the typical bow tie, but is really flat – almost “tabular.” One side of the piece shows the full main crystal while the other side shows more of the chalcedony and smaller stilbites within it. This piece was purchased from Rock Currier by William Metropolis in 1983 and has the associated cards.
