St Andreasburg, Braunlage, Goslar District (Harz Highland), Lower Saxony, Germany
From the historic silver mining area in St. Andreasburg in the Harz area of Germany, this is an interesting and old specimen. Small and gemmy wheat sheaths of stilbite are colored gray by an incorporation of an unknown mineral. This area was mined from 1480 on and only a few stilbite specimens from the area survive. This piece was from an old German collection KK Mineralien- Kabinett.
