Description
Sweetwater Mine, Ellington, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds County, Missouri, USA
A bright metallic cluster of Sweetwater Mine galena crystals which are difficult to photograph demonstrate intricate crystal growth patterns on their surface. Over the years, this location has produced thousands of sulfide and calcite specimens which has made the location a modern classic. Although there were many specimens produced, the mine is no longer producing and these items are becoming harder to find. This piece is a good sized piece of interlocked modified cubes. They are micro dusted with other sulfides enhancing the details of the crystals. The piece is in good condition without damage.
