An outstanding specimen of well formed galena is decorated by chalcopyrite and needle-like quartz. The mines in Madan produce some of the finest galena in the world and this is a choice specimen. It displays sharp, well-formed galena with good brilliance and light reflection. They have nearly endless modifications of the cube / octahedron form which is really fun to study if you are a detail oriented person. The formations are staggered and stepped which gives an aesthetic 3D display of the specimen. Chunky yellow chalcopyrite crystals grow above and below along with quartz crystals, adding nice contrast. It comes with a custom acrylic base.
