An amazing specimen of very sharp and gem peridot crystals form a large, subparallel grouping of wedge crystals that almost resembles a flower. This grouping has formed on smaller, ungrouped peridot crystals within a very adherent talc-like matrix. The wedge from of peridot is much rarer than the rounded or peaked growths normally seen. These crystals are a lovely bright green, without the brownish or olive colors that so many have. The white matrix could be cleaned further, but I think that the more natural appearance gives a really nice contrast to the crystals. Much of gemmy and well-colored peridot is faceted and specimens, especially of this size and caliber are quite rare.
