Description
Denton Mine, Harris Creek Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA
Two deeply colored fluorites interconnect and show a detailed stepped habit and are from the Denton mine in Illinois, USA. While dark under ambient conditions, this specimen has amazing color when back lit – like grape jelly. There are also gemmy sphalerite crystals associated with the fluorites. The specimen is a complete floater with a couple minor nicks, but nothing that is distracting to the specimen.
