Description
Denton Mine, Harris Creek Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA
This is a beautiful flourite with sphalerite from the Denton mine. This is an incredibly gemmy specimen of fluorite, perched on a matrix that has a mixture of sphalerite, host rock and some galena. The fluorites themselves are very complex in structure, with growth patterns protruding from every single crystal. They show a vibrant blue color that goes into dark purple phantoms. The specimen has some edge wear, but is otherwise undamaged.
