Description
Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA
A very well-formed cluster of three interlocked cubes of fluorite have the classic “Illinois” color zones. Light blue color rims the outside of purple zones and yellow cores. The piece is a floater with multiple viewing angles and small crystals of chalcopyrite. There are small areas of damage (a 5 mm area on the back and the bottom of the piece has a cleaved corner) but the main viewing angle of the the 3 stacked cubes displays nicely.
