Denton Mine, Harris Creek Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA
A really fantastic miniature of purple and white fluorite. It shows stepped growth, phantoms, and is a complete floater partially covered by small white barite crystals. White color forms the centers of fluorite which have multiple hues of purple phantoms and bands at their edges and a soft, candy-like luster. Stepped growth forms multiple sides while the bottom undergone complex dissolution which left a pointed form (not quite a dissolution corner but a similar form) on which an arching, etched fluorite and barite formation attaches. There is no damage and the piece is interesting from many angles.
