Description
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
A striking specimen has the very desirable teal bright blue color of the cuprian (copper-rich) variety of adamite. It is from the Ojuela Mine in Mexico which has become a classic location for this rare variety. It shows off with good sized groupings of pointed crystals scattered on an orange to brown matrix of limonite. As a hidden bonus, the piece has a tiny unopened vug on the base of the piece. It is lined with crystals and undisturbed.
