Description
Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico
Mexico has produced some of the finest adamite specimens of all time, and the electric blue green cuprian specimens from Ojuela are among the best. This specimen features a vibrant teal color, accented by a high gloss luster. The crystals are a good size with bipyramidal form which largely cover the limonite matrix. Crystals of white calcites formed on top of the adamite. The calcites are doubly terminated scalenohedral crystals which are also highly lustrous with a gentle yellow color that contrasts nicely with the adamites. The piece is a large example with no damages to report.
