Description
Macaco Mine, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil
This citrine crystal has incredible transparency and high luster. Showing with superb razor-sharp faces and its lovely Dauphine Law twinning. The color to me has the yellowish-brown tint of natural citrine, although quartz from this location is often labeled smoky quartz. The gemminess of the citrine allows the feldspar to be seen within and through the crystal. Additionally, well crystallized feldspar accents 3 sides of the citrine really giving nice contrast to the piece. There is a tiny amount of edgewear, but overall, the piece is aesthetic and attractive.
