Description
Second Sovietsky Mine, Dal’negorsk, Kavelerovo Mining District, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
A tremendously beautiful arrangement of optically clear apophyllite takes an unusual thin tabular shape, very different from the pointy prisms seen in India. The apophyllite crystal has gemmy calcite crystals which decorate only the very top of the main crystal giving a truly distinctive piece. This combination is rare for its locality (Russia) and comes out of an old collection.
