Description
Cruzeiro Mine, São José da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil
A great grouping of gemmy tourmaline forms an almost complete triangle. The main, vertical crystal has a pink core surrounded by a blue green color. It is terminated by a thin, flat, and navy-blue cap. The horizontal crystal at the top is similarly colored but is not terminated. Other crystal combines in the middle and base of the piece and combine with tiny metallic lepidolite crystals. Within the lepidolite are tiny gem crystals of cream colored cookeite.
