Description

Sidi Lahcen Mine, Nador, Nador Province, L’oriental Region, Morocco

Large and glossy blue barite crystals grow together in a regular and fan like pattern. This is an exceptionally large barite, with a sturdiness and thickness to the individual crystals.  They have grown in a partially parallel and curved form. Many of the Moroccan blue barites are notoriously damaged when they arrive in the U.S., but this piece is pristine with intact terminations. This piece is a sculptural piece of modern art and takes a pretty glow in many lights.
