Description
Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Mun. de Santa Cruz, Sonora, Mexico
An exceptionally colorful and well formed azurite has astounding luster. This azurite takes a truly unbelievable color with directed lighting. The color in the photos was not added or photoshopped, it is simply what the camera captured with bright LED lights. The crystals are well terminated and have distinct separation between them. It has no damage and shows minor fibrous malachite associated on the back. The Milpillas Mine is only about 30 miles south of Arizona, and I often think how lucky Mexico is to boast claim to this amazing locality.
