Description
Dharangaon Taluka, Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India
A pretty grouping of apophyllite crystal points creates nice light effects of rainbow interference patterns and sparkle. The pointed terminations are gem, and the crystals rest on a thin layer of basalt. These pieces form as gasses escape or cool from bubbles within volcanic lava, so this piece is part of the original bubble or vesicle.
