Description
Goboboseb Mountains /Brandberg Area, Daures, Erongo Region, Namibia
This piece is from the famous find in Namibia of rare “reverse” scepter amethyst crystals. This means that many of the crystals have thicker body prisms leading to a more tapered, narrow tip. The unusual crystal habit is accented by purple color that resides only in the terminations, while the body is a gemmy clear formation. While difficult to photograph, the crystals in person appear distinct and defined.
