Description
Ladjuar Madan (Lapis Lazuli Deposit), Sar-e Sang District, Koksha Valley Khash and Kuran Wa Munjan Districts, Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan
A very well formed and isolated crystal of Afghanite. This specimen shows a sharp and beautiful contrast of deep blue afghanite on a colorless quartz matrix. The afghanite has a candy-like luster which shows the outstanding character of its isolated, trigonal growth. It is a single terminated crystal which only has some minor scuffing on the edge. This is a classic example of the material and would make any individual who enjoy the single crystal on matrix aesthetic very happy.
